Today in my public speaking class i was pretty nervous but ended up giving a good speech that everyone seemed to enjoy and found funny…but then was followed by basically an episode of Friday Night Lights that could’ve probably won all the Emmy’s. It was so heartwarming that my entire speech was rendered invalid. And just when i thought i was doing good! 

So today in my public speaking class, my elderly professor told me that I was saying “um” too much, and that it was a sign of weakness…
